Another blog. In english this week, we started a new unit. The mystery and suspence unit which i like so hopefully its a fun unit. We watched a part of a stranger calls on friday and i wish that we could have watched the whole thing! But i hope we have a snow day tomorrrrowww!!! but we probably wont. Gahanna NEVER closes! it sucks! On friday, I had a basketball game against Lancaster and we won! Then after that i went to a 16th birthday party but i was really late and i ahd to leave ear;y because i had basketball practice at 830 the next morning. On saturday, i went to basketball, then I went to KDB's for this renaissance thing and it was really fun! Today i was supposed to go to driving class, but i was too scared that the roads were really bad so i decided not to go. But i went sledding with my friends instead. It was so cold, so we were only out there for like 10 minutes. haha, but we came back and drank hot chocolate. my friend has this hot chocalte maker and its really cool and amusing to watch. I have physical therapy for my shoulder tomorrow and i really dont want to go. But hopefully i can come back to basketball soon, just 2 more weeks! well time to go! Peace.

Well, hey. So in english this week me and some other people were given til friday to get that essay thing done and i can honestly say that i failed it. i totally forgot what mascot was about and its too late to redo anything.. so i failed it. Anyways, all we did in english class this week was read, read, read, read, and read. thats all we did. I hate reading! But anyways, this week actually went by pretty fast. On friday, we had a basketball game and all 3 teams won! the jv teams score was 56 to 12... we won by 41 points... thats sadddd! and on saturday, i went bowling and then to my friend, abby lepperts, suprise party and it was great! today i went to get my ipod fixed and guess what!? i didnt get fixed. and on top of that, 5 more songs got deleted, so i have like 85 songs out of 515 that im supposed to have. Also, i had driving class... it was SO boring i couldnt stand it! Also, on friday i went to go get my shoulder looked at and now im out for 3 to 4 weeks, or possibly the whole season... YAY. I hope this week is good and hopefully i have a better weekend! talk to you later. Peace.

In Nightjohn, there were many people who tried to run away from the plantations. One girl, Alicia i think it was, couldnt do anything. She wasn worthless in the fields and in the houses so she decided to run away. They went after her and found her and the white men let the dogs tear her apart, and she survived. She wouldnt die, no matter how much she wanted to. Nightjohn was a runaway and he got away the first time, but he went back to teach reading and writing because he felt that it was necessary for everyone to learn how to read and write. He taught the others at the other plantation he was at to read and write.
In Mascot, many white people are discriminating against the blacks. They treat them like they are worthless and like they have no rights as humans.
The Great Debators is very alike, but also very different from these stories. It's alike because they both have discrimination for blacks. Its different because they take part in totally different settings, places, and dates.
