make up blog

So this is my make up blog, and I guess I'm supposed to write about my spring break, so here it goes; Over spring break, I went on a cruise to the Caribbean, and it was AMAZINGGG!  We went to Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Aruba, and Curacoa. The water was so clear in ever spot that we went, and i have to say my favorite place was the dominican. We went fishing for star fish in this 3 foot deep natural pool, and it was so much fun. Me and my cousin caught one and named it sharkey because it had small dull spikes on it :) I also loved Grand Turk, at Magaritaville. Probably one of the most amazing and fun spots i have ever been to. It was always 85 to 95 degree weather and it was perfect. I dont get sea sick so being on the ship was plain fun. We had these club type things where we get to meet people our age and i met so many new people there. 4 were from Ohio! :D 3 were from chicago, 3 were from florida, 1 was from colorado, 2 were from kentucky, and one was from idaho. All around i miss the cruise. i never wanted to get off. Well, that was my spring break. It was amazing

so this week was almost official the LONGEST week if my life. on tuesday i thought it was thursday and on wednesday i thought it was friday.. but nope. anyway in english, we read orson welles and its actually a pretty funny book. but thats all we are doing in english. on friday, i went to my friends birthday party and then on saturday and sunday i had a soccer tournament and we won 2 and lost 2. the last team we played were so mad... it was actually pretty funny. some girl had a handball and i said handball like kinda loud and she turns around and was like can you not call that youre not the ref. THANKS. i just started laughing.. haha and theres some other things but i really dont feel like explaining it. but yeah my weekend was alright and i just cant wait for it to be summer... theres only 3 and half more weeks leftt ! then its SUMMMER! :D well thats all for now.

hey there. well this week went by really slow. i kept thinking it was friday, but it would only be tuesday or wednesday or thursday. Tuesday I had 4 tests, and that was NOT fun. I got 4 hours of sleep that night... yay. In english this week, we had our caesar test and it was okay, i should have studied a little bit more for it. we also started Orson Welles. I think we start reading it tomorrow. Friday, i went to abby hersey's house and we walked to smoothie king, then sprinted over to mykanos where we waited for 3 hours for jen wood to be done with her choir thing. then we went to cici's and saw a bunch of people there, and that was kinda weird saying that it was 930 at night. then after that, we went back to abbys house and slept over. Saturday, we had a game and i scored 2 goals... but we lost 3 to 2. it was our first loss. oh well. then i went to easton with martina schmid and then we came back to my house and watched haunting in connecticut, for like the 10th time. then today was mothers day and me and my family went to brio for lunch and i got out of going to soccer practice :) then we played some games cux thats what my momma wanted to do and then i did my homework and now im a bout to go watch some tv. see ya later.

new blog.

well this week kind of went really slow.. but oh well, it finally came to the weekend. This week in class we finished Julius Caesar... finally. i kept zoning out when we read that. Sorry mr. potter... but anyway, i think we have the test over it on wednesday, i really hope it isnt on tuesday because i already have 4 tests to study for that are on tuesday: Biology, Spanish, Health, and Geometry.... great! on thursday i got my lisense!!! (: i love having it, i can finally drive by myself with no one telling me what to do or what i did wrong. on friday i went to a party (drove there by myself too :D) and then on saturday, my soccer game got cancelled so my mom had me drive to the grovery store to pick her up some things that she needed for my aunts birthday party. After that i went to easton with allie earl and then to my aunts birthday party. The theme of her party was "to act your shoesize". We played kickball and it got pretty intense. my cousin who is like 30..  i really dont know how old he is.. got really competative, it was really funny. But anyway, today i had soccer practice, and fortunatly it was better than most practices that we have been having. He didnt yell at us as much as he normally does and it didnt seem as long as it normally does. thats all for now. byw

well heres another blog.. this week went by kinda slow, but kinda fast at the same time. i thought it was friday on thursday, but then i got happy that we had a 3 day weekend. this week in english we read caesar again. i cant wait to be done with it, i think its soooo boring... thursday i went to jen woods house and me allie and abby slept over at her house, then on friday, we went bowling. saturday, i went to see a movie with my friend hannah and it was really funny. the people sitting next to us wouldnt stop saying the f word. it was really funny to listen to them. today i went to church for easter, and then i went to my aunts house for the day. it was fun. we had an easter egg hunt.  on thursday, i should get my liscense.. but i really hope i dont fail because that would be insanley embarrassing if i did.. but oh well. thats it for now, happy easter!

well its time for another blog. i guess we had a blog due last week that no one knew about? so i didnt get that one done. oh well. anyways, last week in english we started julius caesar, and its okay so far. we colored on friday, and my drawings were terrible. Friday, after school, i waited for abby hersey to be done with soccer and then we walked to dairy queen and almost got run over by 29849032 cars! it was really scary. after that, we walked to creekside and then to jefferson elementry and then back to her house. we played wheel of fortune there and it was really funny. saturday,  i had a job interview and i think i got the job! after that i had to go to soccer, but it was like hailing and storming out side and when we got to the fields, all we had to wait was a half hour. i was so mad. and then after that i went car shopping but we dont know if were getting the car that i wanted. after that i went to easton with rachel and i got this sweet neckalce. they have glasses on them :) today i didnt go anything. i just stayed home, made some cookies and sat on the couch watching tv and on my laptop. well bye for now.

Dear Reader,

            In the book, The Lucky One, by Nicholas Sparks, a man seems to be unlucky until he finds a picture of a woman on a beach in Iraq at a military base. He puts the picture on a bulletin board in the base to see if someone would retrieve the picture, but no one did, so he kept the picture. He went to a poker game that night and after losing four nights of poker, he didn’t think that he would win anything. He won all of his money back and more that night. His best friend, Victor, said it was “luck”, but Logan Thibault, the man who found the picture, didn’t believe in superstitions. After he and Victor got out of the military, they went on a fishing trip where Victor got hit head on by a boat. At that, Logan decided to walk from Colorado to find the girl in the photo… if that would ever happen. He decided to stop in a little town in North Carolina called Hampton. He stops at a bar and asks people if they have seen the woman in the photo. He says that he came to this town three years ago and met the girl, but lost her number and couldn’t remember her name. The guys say that he shouldn’t mess with her because she was the ex-wife of the county deputy. He walks the other way in hopes to not attract people who try to follow him. He made the right decision. He walked right on the path leading to the woman’s house and work. Logan walked up the path with his dog, Zeus, right beside him. He saw the woman in the photo step out of the dog kennel, the place she works, which her mom, Nana, started. Logan smiles and stares at the woman. Her name is Beth. Logan decided to ask for a job since he came here with nothing but a few clothes, some food and water for him and some food and water for Zeus. Beth decides to give him an interview since they really need help since Nana’s stroke. Beth thinks that Logan is crazy and weird, so she goes inside her house and asks Nana if she could go interview Logan. Nana accepts him and he starts to work. Ben was scared of him because he thought that he was dangerous because of what his mom had told him. He grew attached to him and Zeus and finally Beth grew fond of him. They start to fall in love until Keith tries to tear them apart. Keith tells Beth that Logan was dangerous and that he had a picture of Beth from when Drake gave it to her. She wasn’t sure whether to believe him or not because Keith had followed her on all of her dates and thought he was lying. She decided to ask Logan and he confessed. He told her everything and they got into a huge fight, but made up a few hours later. Keith came over and was threatening Beth. Ben ran out to the creek and it had been raining for more than a week. He had the picture in his back pocket, but he was drowning and Logan and Keith tried to save him. Zeus saves Ben but Logan and Keith don’t get out so easily, and it ends in someone dying.

            The theme I chose for this story was luck. The picture helped Logan through tough times in the military and other times in his life. He gave it to Ben because he felt that he Ben needed it the most. Luck is the key to “survival” in this story.
